FAQ
What if someone paid nothing?
Just add their name and leave the amount empty (or at 0). The tool counts them as a participant and computes their share to pay back to the group.
Does the tool handle couples or families?
The calculation splits evenly across listed participants. If someone counts as two shares (couple, family), the simplest option is to add them twice (e.g. "Paul 1" and "Paul 2") so the tool counts two shares.
Is my data saved somewhere?
Only in your browser (LocalStorage), on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers. Reload the page, you get your list back, but it stays fully private.
How do I share the balance with my group?
Click the "Copy balance" button: the summary is copied to your clipboard, ready to paste in WhatsApp, SMS, Messenger or an email.
