1. Introduction

The outilo.fr website places great importance on protecting user privacy.

It is designed to keep the collection of personal data to a strict minimum while ensuring an optimal user experience.

2. Data collected

The website may collect data in a limited manner in the following cases:

• browsing the website
• using the tools
• contact form
• audience analysis

Collected data may include:

• browser type
• pages visited
• visit duration
• interactions with tools

Outilo automatically collects internal audience statistics on public pages, without an acceptance banner. It records pages viewed, referrers, language, device category, duration, active time, scrolling, tool events, favourites, outbound and affiliate clicks, and internal searches (entered and normalised query, results and clicked tool). Technical session and user-agent identifiers are hashed: this is pseudonymisation, not anonymity. These statistics are not linked to your account. Separate security and hosting services may process IP addresses.

If you create an account, Outilo stores your email address, password hash, optional display name, language, account status, consent records, sessions and security events. Transactional email logs are also kept. Internal Pro assignments and credit movements are linked to the account where applicable, to manage access and reconstruct the credit balance.

When you submit the contact form (or report a bug from a tool page), the following may be stored: your message, the URL of the page concerned, your browser's user-agent, the language and — only if you provide it voluntarily — your email address. These data are used solely to process your request.

3. Use of data

Collected data is used to:

• improve how the website operates
• analyse tool usage
• optimise user experience
• offer relevant content and services

4. Third-party services

Data processing depends on the tool. Some tools process input in your browser; others call external services. For example, the public IP tool queries ipwho.is or GeoJS; keyword suggestions send the entered terms to Google Suggest; the profile-link tool can send a domain or URL to DNS and page-retrieval services. External libraries and fonts may also generate network requests. The relevant notices are shown on these tool pages.

Outilo does not load Google advertising or an advertising consent manager. Audience data is stored internally. Google Search Console is used separately by the publisher to consult aggregated search performance; it does not add an audience tag to your browser.

5. Affiliate links

The website uses affiliate links, in particular through the Amazon programme.

When a user clicks on these links, cookies may be set in order to track conversions and enable a potential commission.

These mechanisms entail no additional cost to the user.

6. Cookies

Dynamic QR links use a separate measurement system, without advertising or the site's shared identifiers. When configured and enabled, it uses a signed cookie specific to each QR owner, for at most 13 months from creation, with one invisible verification redirect. Event retention is at most 25 months. Owners receive only protected aggregate reports; the module stores no IP address, raw user-agent, full referrer or campaign parameters in its events. QR audience information, browser event deletion and opt-out are available without an account. Exemption from consent depends on the deployed configuration and its assessment.

The image watermark tool saves display and export preferences in your browser (localStorage, key outilo.filigrane.settings.v1), until you reset them or clear site data. Photos, logos, filenames and watermark text are not sent to the audience collector. Content-free usage events use the site’s pseudonymous identifiers, unless you disable statistics below.

The website uses different types of cookies:

• Technical cookies: required for the website to function
• Audience measurement cookies
• Affiliate cookies

The technical session cookie also maintains a pseudonymous audience session identifier. It follows the site’s configured session duration (24 hours by default). No advertising cookie is loaded by Outilo. You can disable internal statistics below; this browser preference is stored for 12 months in the outilo_tracking cookie. Functional cookies remain necessary for the services you use.

7. Data retention

Page views, audience events and internal search records are retained for 24 months. Other data follows the retention periods described for the relevant service. Operational tracking diagnostics contain only technical error codes and timestamps, without the content of your requests.

When you submit a review, Outilo stores its rating, text, display name, language and declared dates of use. Email addresses and security data are private. Reviews are moderated before publication and can be accessed, exported, corrected or withdrawn from My reviews or a personal management link.
