Plan each surface
Draw a rectangle, an L-shaped room or a free outline. Add obstacles, choose tile shape and size, then adjust the starting point. The catalogue includes 28 patterns, including hexagons, octagons with dots, herringbone, chevrons and multi-size opus layouts. Create your own repeating module with the custom pattern editor.
Quantities and installation dossier
Quantities come from actual intersections with the outline and obstacles. A tile producing several fragments is counted once. References, sizes and colours are separated, including dots and left/right bevelled pieces. Purchase quantities are aggregated before the allowance and box rounding. The PDF contains dimensioned plans, starting points and optional cutting sheets.
A project you own
The draft is saved on this device without an account. Export the .outilo-calepinage.json file to keep, share and resume your work elsewhere. Project data is not sent to analytics. Browsers can clear local storage: keep an exported copy of important projects.
Reuse and precision
Automatic positioning suggests a balanced layout for preview. Offcut reuse is a geometric estimate including saw kerf and explicitly allowed rotations. Check actual measurements, pattern direction, cutting constraints and manufacturer instructions before purchasing. Curves use a 0.1 mm chord tolerance; geometry calculations use 0.01 mm precision.
FAQ
How do I save and share my project?
The draft is stored in this browser. Export a .outilo-calepinage.json file and send it. The recipient can import it and continue working without an account.
How are cuts and offcuts counted?
The engine counts source tiles actually intersecting the surface. Several fragments from one tile do not create duplicate counts. Optional reuse checks offcut allocations with saw kerf and allowed rotations; this simulation remains an estimate.
