Why use PostFix?
LinkedIn doesn't natively support bold or italic text in posts. PostFix works around this limitation using special Unicode characters accepted by the network. But the tool goes much further — it optimizes the two pillars of virality.
"See more" Hook
LinkedIn truncates posts after ~3 lines or 210 characters. PostFix highlights in green exactly what your reader sees before clicking. A weak hook means collapsed reach.
AI Markdown Conversion

Real-time radar
PostFix analyzes your post on every keystroke and flags:
- External links: LinkedIn penalizes posts with URLs. The tool lets you move links to the first comment automatically.
- Penalized words: "link in comment", "click here", "promo"… expressions that tank organic reach.
- Emoji or bold abuse: more than 10 emojis or 15% bold text? The tool warns you before you publish.
- Call-to-Action: if your post exceeds 150 characters without a question, a reminder appears to stimulate comments.
Auto-saved draft
Your text is saved in your browser on every keystroke. Close the tab without worry — it will be there when you return.
FAQ
How do I make text bold on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn has no native bold button. The trick is to use "Mathematical Bold" Unicode characters that look like bold letters. PostFix does this conversion automatically: select your text, click the B button, and the converted text is ready to paste on LinkedIn.
Why do my LinkedIn posts get few views?
Several factors reduce organic reach: an external link in the post (LinkedIn prefers keeping users on the platform), words seen as artificial calls to action ("link in comments", "click here"), too many emojis or hashtags, and a hook that doesn't encourage clicking "See more". The PostFix radar detects all these issues before publishing.
What is the "See more" hook on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn automatically truncates posts after about 3 lines or 210 characters in the feed. The reader must click "See more" to read the rest. If the hook (the first 3 lines) isn't compelling enough, they won't click — and LinkedIn interprets this as a negative signal that reduces the post's distribution.
How many hashtags should I use on a LinkedIn post?
The current LinkedIn algorithm handles 3 to 5 relevant hashtags well. Beyond 5, it starts treating the post as spam and reduces its reach. PostFix displays the number of detected hashtags in real time and alerts you if you exceed 5.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. All processing happens in your browser. Your text is never sent to a server. The draft is saved locally in your browser's storage (localStorage).
